Two Sisters Who Manufacturer Bricks Using Recycled Bottles

Meet Kedibone and Keletso Tsiloane, the sisters from Sasolburg in Free State, who founded a company (Ramtshilo) which manufactures strong, durable and fire retardant bricks using sand, cement and recycled plastics.

“The bricks look and feel like conventional cement bricks and they can be cemented and plastered like any other brick,” said Kedibone.

Kedibone said they only begun manufacturing the bricks / the business with about R5 000, which was used for the prototype.

The despite the challenges they are facing as people badger them with questions to ascertain if they will deliver the work, they are adamant to growing Ramtsilo and supply the bricks nationwide.
